Mission  

Since it is the duty of every Muslim community to perform their religious Islamic burial obligations consisting of ritual body wash (Ghusl), burial shroud (kafan) and funeral prayer (Genaza) for each deceased Muslim, and since this preparation of the body for burial must be performed by licensed mortuaries and comply with local codes, The Islamic Center of San Diego offers to provide pre-burial needs of the community members in the most expeditious, courteous, and economical manner.
